Save the Sterling Library!

Closing the Sterling Library is a REAL possibility. The implications of this are far-reaching. Our group would be dissolved, gone, sayonara! More importantly, you would have to travel to the Cascades Library or another library to get your materials or use our resources. A lot of families walk to the library because they don't have the means to get to another library.

We really need you to speak up. At our next meeting on Saturday, January 17 @ 2:00pm, we'll discuss some concrete strategies.

You can start posting your ideas here! Just leave a comment with your idea.

RSS Feeds

Jahangir said...
I signed up for library RSS feeds. I didn't know what they were, but the libray website explained RSS feeds and how to sign up. RSS feeds are really convenient.

Click on RSS feeds to find out more about them -- library webpage explanation.
RSS feeds basically alert you when a webpage is updated so you don't have to constantly check on individual sites. Yes, it's really convenient! I have a bloglines account where I subscribe to all sorts of feeds. So, I login to my bloglines account and see at just a glance updates from my fav sites. So, if you are constantly checking out sites to see what's new -- you might want to go ahead and sign up for a free bloglines account and subscribe to feeds. I can explain things further if anyone needs help.

Leaving a Comment

Don't bother to sign up for a blogger account, as you need one IF you're creating a blog with blogger. Just choose anonymous and then put in your name with your comment. I see that Charlotte and Jahangir have both done that. Excellent! Keep the comments coming!
